Don't most people replace their PC's every 4+ years?

Or longer. My parents have been using the same computer for nearly 9 years now and it's been running fine. When the choice is between a new computer (when the old one is running fine) and a shiny new feel good gadget, the gadge wins.

Tablets are near worthless for serious work, they're for consuming information such as browsing and doing your email. I pity the fool who does serious keyboard entry tasks using a touch screen.
