I have a wireless local network and the dialog box telling me that "Signal
Strength is Good" seems to pop up every few seconds. How do I get it to stop
(or at least only do it once an hour or something)? I have the task bar on
autohide if that makes any difference.

Hi,

Here is the instructions for disabling the pop up alerts in the notification
area.

1. Start the Registry Editor
2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion
\ Explorer \ Advanced
3. Right-click an empty space in the right pane and select New > DWORD Value
4. Name it with the value EnableBalloonTips
5. leave the Value data set = 0
6. Close the registry editor
7. Log off, or restart Windows for the changes to take effect
