I'm new to building computers and I thought that 61 seemed pretty hot for my cpu while idling. I have the Ryzen 5 5600X with the stock cooler and two fans that came with my case. Is this normal or do I need more cooling or something?
it doesnt have to be overclocked, most mainboards runs CPU on high cpu load to help you with fan profiles, temperatures in bios are really close to what you can expect during gaming and 3000/5000 serie is harder to cool than anything elseWhat a nonsense!
55C in BIOS is absolutely not a normal temperature.
10C over ambient room temperature max.
May be only on a heavily overclocked system.
Improve cooling inside your pc case,Any ideas on what I should try?
Oh - that's a terrible case for airflow. Completely closed front.GPU: RTX 3060
Case: Corsair carbide series 200R
55C at idle with removed side panel?I reinstalled the cooler and took off the side panel and it's sitting at about 55 C now.
did you read title? hes looking at it in bios not in something like hwinfo55C at idle with removed side panel?
What is your ambient room temperature? Like 40C ?
What a nonsense! Those can be normal temps in BIOS.
Are you trolling or something? What a nonsense!

as far as temperatures in bios goes, its okSo I'm ok? Also thanks for the positive feedback, kerberos_20.
Only way to tell is stress testing the system under an OS and reporting back the temperature results. So I'm ok? Also thanks for the positive feedback, kerberos_20.
