I am gonna be doing video editing on my computer and recording my console with my HD Pvr 2. I would want to play Minecraft, And Skyrim. Would the i3 3217u be a good choice?

Yes i think you could get skyrim on medium to high with high cpu usage but minecraft dunno i have i5 3350p and i get 70-80 usage in minecraft so get at least Core i3 3220

Are you going to have a dedicated graphics card, or does it come only with the CPU and onboard graphics? Is this a laptop?

If it does not have a dedicated GPU you will have a tough time with the games you're looking to play.

On very low settings on minecraft the 3217U doesn't pull much more than 30 FPS (if that). Skyrim would be even worse. Video editing also wouldn't be particularly smooth. It's an entry level CPU, don't expect much of it.

Unfortunately no. Anything with integrated graphics generally won't be a good option for anything other than light use, with the possible exception being AMD's new APU lineup that have surprisingly strong integrated graphics.

Honestly, I'd save your money until you have a larger budget. Otherwise you'll quickly tire of the low performance and be wanting to upgrade, which will cost you more overall.

I was planning to get a 7770 , would that wirk well with the i3 or bottleneck?
