Okay, I have a Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 motherboard, and I was wondering about the RAM. The memory support list on the website says 12GB of Kingston HyperX is supported, yet my store has a sale on right now for the SAME ram, but for 4 sticks for the same price as 3. (3x4 the same price as 4x4) I was wondering if this would cause any issues considering the 16GB is not on the supported list, but the 4GB individual RAM stick is... My motherboard can hold 32GB of RAM. Thanks! A quick response would be nice :D

Where on the website does it say only 12GB of RAM? When I looked up your motherboard, it said up to 32GB of RAM supported. Anyways, yes you'd be perfectly fine with using 16GB of RAM (I am right now on my own Z68 build). The 3x4 (12GB) is a triple channel kit designed for the older 1366 socket. So basically, yes get the 16GB it'l work fine :)

Ram compatibility list is kinda sham, it only works when Motherboard just came out and the ram they tested with still on market. My year old Asus list ram that's no longer on market and nobody updated that list.

Anyway as long as MB supports that type (speed) of RAM it will work no problem, I only seen MB rejecting ram once and it was on really cheap MB with junky BIOS.
