Question Is asus Thunderboltex-TR compatible with Asus Z690 motherboard?

Struggling to power up Apple Thunderbolt Display with my new built?

I tried MSI motherboard with gigabyte but failed.

Now I have got Asus thunderboltex-3 TR but it’s not compatible with msi tomhawk motherboard so I am ordering this Asus Z690-P mobo. But want to ensure it will work before I order it. Thank you for your help.

Thank you. I looked at the docs but it doesn’t say that this card is supported or MOT. Quite confusing. Motherboard says Thunderbolt 4 but not sure if it’s backward compatible.
