[SOLVED] Is Gen 4 ssd supports PCIe Gen3 x4 slot?

I have Dell 7567 having PCIe 3x4 slot for ssd. I want to upgrade my ssd to
AORUS Gen4 SSD 1TB, is it compatible or not? Please help me with this.

yes. Gen 4 nvme work in gen 3 slots, just not at their full speed.

I have pcie gen3 x4 slot and having nvme 1.3(i think) in laptop and ssd i want having nvme 1.4 is compatible or not?

it will just run it at max gen 3 speeds.

PCIe NVMe Gen3 vs Gen4

Hi, I have not kept up with the NVMe or SSD tech. Does having a Gen4 NVMe SSD in a Gen3 slot will limit the performance of the Gen4 SSD? If so, by how much? I know Gen4 doubles the bandwidth, but does not only affect sequential read/write and not random read/write?
