Hello,
i am pretty sure that it will be fine, but i just wanted to check with you guys over here at toms hardware that a low end i5 3350p will be enough for casual gaming in my itx build.
specs for the machine are as followed:
8gb hyperx 1600mhz ram
gtx 660
60gb ocz agility 3 ssd
2tb seagate
samsung blu ray
msi b75ia-e33 socket 1155
650w modular psu

any responses will be greatly appreciated :)

The i5-3350P doesn't include the Intel HD4000 Graphics chip, but as you are using a dedicated graphics card that shouldn't be a problem. The i5-3350P coupled with your GTX660 should provide you with a great gaming setup, and even on 1080P resolution you should be getting very good framerates. In terms of gaming performance, it is roughly equivalent to an overclocked FX-6300 or Stock FX-8320.

So in conclusion, yes, the i5-3350P is a suitable processor for gaming. Enjoy your new hardware!

Best Regards
Luke

Thank you so much for such a quick response:) and yeah i am not bothered about intel hd 4000 graphics, i am looking for a decent rig to replace my over heating xbox. so thank you again and i will enjoy it im sure :)

We did it was called the Intel® Core™ i5-2550K and we had people complaining that it didnt have the graphics.

While the Intel Core i5-3350P won't overclock it is a solid performance processor that should work well as a gaming processor for now.

No problem, we're here to help! :)

Must say, it's hard not to notice that you're deeply Intel... Don't you dare go badmouthing AMD processors on another post, Intel fanboy ;P
