Question Is it normal for the gpu to never hit 100% usage while gaming

While gaming, my gpu never hits 100%. I have a 1060 3gb btw. So before, it would be 80% cpu and about 40-60% gpu. Now, I've upgraded to a ryzen 7 2700 from a ryzen 3 2200g, so there is no longer onboard geaphics on the cpu, but the monitprs were clearly connected to the cpu,[still is] so I do not know the problem is. Since the upgrader however,, it does hit 80% occasinally.

Am i understanding something wrong and its normal for the gpu to never hit 100%?,

Depends on what you are asking it to do. Either your CPU was plenty fast before, and switching the 2700 simply hasn't done anything to improve things (highly possible, same architecture). Or you never offered a job to the GPU that would require more than that.

A lot will depend on your graphics settings and screen resolution.
