To buy a 600-series GPU from Nvidia even if the 700 series is out? I figured that I would go ahead because I will upgrade when the 800 series comes out.

Yeah, apart from the GTX 680 (which has been replaced by the cheaper GTX 770 using the exact same GPU at higher clocks). The 700 series uses the same GPUs as the 600 series, so it's not really a new generation.

760 will drop later this month ..... I'd still by the 650 Ti Boost .... in SLI they faster than a 680 for much cheaper....but the 660, 670 and 680 I'd not bother with
