I was replacing my thermal paste on my Asus 980 ti Strix OC and I got a bit of the stock paste in the little circuits surrounding the GPU.

I'm just wondering if that is alright and I'm not too sure if the stock paste is electrically conductive.

Solution
toothpick.
you can use the pointy end to extricate cotton and blobs that are stubborn.
the stock paste is not conductive.

most pastes are not electrically conductive for this exact reason.
if it is concerning you a q-tip and some rubbing alcohol should remove the offending blob. be sure system is completely dry before powering on.
clean it and leave the unit to dry for 10-15 minutes.

I did try alcohol on a cotton bud to rub it off but most of it just stayed there do you have any more advice other than q-tip.

I also think I made it worst as some cotton stuck to the blob.
