hello everyone!

i have made a temporary cooler for my asus 3070 dual oc, because the fans died on it. i took off the shroud and zip-tied 2 decent fans to it. is there a way to set them as GPU fans without that adapter(?)? right now, theyre set as cha fan 1&2(i have a controller for the other 5 fans in the build) and theyre set to turbo fan curve in the bios, but im afraid they might not ramp up fast enough to not fry my gpu.
specs:
CPU: i3 12100f
RAM: Corsair VENGEANCE LPX 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3200MHz
motherboard: asus tuf gaming b660m-plus d4
GPU: asus 3070 dual oc 8gb
the decent fans: ID-cooling XF-12025-SD-K
fan hub: ARCTIC ACFAN00175A
case: be quiet Pure Base 600 - Midi-Tower
OS: windows 10 10.0.19045 build 19045
the abomination i made:

thanks for the reply in advance.

Do they even ramp up at all? I mean there would have to be some significant change in the temp inside the case for that to happen.

Your options are to set the fans at a constant speed or find a controller with a probe to put next to the GPU die.

The GPU should not be harmed but it will throttle down and be much slower if it gets too hot.

May or may not be workable.

More information needed.

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Make and model "decent" fans?

And include some photographs via imgur (www.imgur.com).

One of those DIY projects where pictures will prove helpful....
thanks for the fast reply! updated the post, hopefully included everything.

they do ramp up, i specifically set it to be at 100% fan speed at 60/70(if i remember correctly). ofcourse it means that the GPU is already hot af.
