So recently saw a couple of videos and articles about people putting a gtx1650 in old machines and getting great results. So i wanted to try myself. Took my 7 or so year old computer and tried to make it work. But everytime i would try to turn it on, it would black screen. (tried uninstalling my older gp drivers didn't work, tried updating bios and couldn't get the latest version, just wouldn't let me install it).
Specs:
Intel core i5-2400 3.1ghz
Had a gts 450 gp
8gb of ddr3 ram
600W be quiet PSU
MSI H61M-P22 (MS-7680) motherboard
(Everything works with my old gp)

Solution
Hm - isn't that one GPU that gets all power from PCIe? Maybe the motherboard simply cannot handle that much power transfer on its own - and hence unable to work with that particular GPU.
