Question Is it possible to oc an i7 4790k on a H81M-R mobo?

I saw a video of a guy oc-ing an i7 4790k on a H81 mobo. I tried it on my own and unfortunately couldn’t find the ”AI Overclock Tuner” option. Did they remove it with an update? Should I downgrade to the BIOS version mentioned in the video if that is even possible?

You’re right, it’s not. But it’s from the same series of motherboards (H81) so I thought it would be possible.

You need a Z prefix motherboard to be able to overclock.

you can only overclock bclk, multiplier oc is locked on non z mobo since h81
