Hello Tom's Hardware,
I finally ran out of storage on my ssd, and I would like to put my steam library on another drive. However, I rarely play video games, and the drive is extremely loud. How can I configure my computer to only turn on the drive when I tell it to? I don't mind the noise if I'm playing games, but when I'm working I usually have headphones off and it is irritating. Reducing the noise is not an option, neither is buying a new drive. I just want to be able to tell the drive when it's allowed to turn on. I don't mind restarting the PC in order to turn on the drive, but ideally a desktop shortcut or a command prompt line would be idea.
Thanks!
