The reason is that with a normal orientation the display is just too low on this particular standWhy would you think you want to?
Mechanically, you are ok.
But, monitors may depend on more normal orientation for proper airflow which is normally venting out the top.
Sorry, fixed the link for the video. Right now I only have this mount as an option, so I used what's available. The problem with this display is that the mounting brackets are located very high, so the monitor stands comically low on it.Your video link only goes to your profile; not useful to me.
What kind of VESA mount did you have in mind?
Can you manage a VESA wall mount?
You can adjust the height and you get more desktop space.
