[SOLVED] Is it worth it upgrading to a intel core2 q9500 from a q9400?

Realising I have a socket LGA 775 mobo, I don't want to go through the hassel of replacing everything if I did get another type of socket mobo for i3-5s etc.
So would it be worth getting a more powerful cpu with the same socket or should I just stay with my q9400? Or even me getting a better cpu cooler (i have intel stock) and overclocking my cpu. I use my pc mainly for gaming and I have noticed my 750 ti being bottlenecked by my cpu.

There will be next to no difference nowadays between those two. they are nearly a decade old. it's probably the difference between performing at 20% of a modern CPU and 22% of a modern CPU.

There are super cheap older generation i5/i7 Dell computers available all over the internet. Those are suitable for gaming with your card.

Honestly a 750 Ti is weak enough that you shouldn't be getting any significant bottlenecking.

What is the process by which you came to the conclusion your CPU is bottlenecking your GPU?
