I found a bargain(almost half price) 2080ti with a blower style cooler that has had the plastic housing of the cooler lost or broken and therefore overheats since it needs it to direct the air through the cooler to actually cool. I was wondering if I can just 3D print a replacement or laser cut a housing out of abs plastic/plywood/acrylic etc and use that. Is there something that I need to worry about? I think it should be fine as it is just a plastic box and also Acrylic is gonna look sick making the card seethrough. Please share your thoughts with me.
I don't want to buy a cooler from another card as it costs almost as much as the 2080ti(at least in my area) making the whole thing pointless.
