Yes, severely.

You need to overclock your cpu.

Can you return the 680?

i'd like to suggest you seriously consider returning the 680, replace it with a 670 and use the left over ~$100 for upgrading that cpu/motherboard.

thats what im thinking on doing, since the 670 isent really that much different from the 680 and the z77 mobo is some what cheaper then i thought (around $130 or so) so again thanks for all the help and replys, i just need some help, idk how to set a thread to solved since this is my first post on this site

Could you possibly spend a tad more for a i5? unless you plan to get a i3 and later get a I5.... the I5 doesn't have to be a 3570K it can be a non k I5. just long as the CPU is 1155. Btw you will like that board is a good board. I use it for now until i get a new board

also what resolution do you play. i red that on 2560x1440/1600 cpu bottleneck is close to zero, tough yes you do need a quadcore close to or over 3ghz, maybe you should have gone with 670
