Question Is my Graphics card failing?

So i just built a new PC back in November, had no issues asside for battlefield crashing on system. Ignored that game had no issues anywhere else. Now come december/Janurary the graphcis card is starting to lose all display ports and the fans turn on super loud randomly some days are good others are multiple times. The PC is still working as i have discord open and can talk to people but just sounds like a jet engine turns on for the gpu fans until i restart my PC. It has happened while gaming, turning the PC on , and randomly crashing pc.
CPu: intel i7-14700kf
RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR5-6800 CL34 Memory
GPU: Graphics card msi 4080 super ventus 3x
Motherboard: MSI PRO Z790-A MAX WIFI ATX LGA1700 Motherboard
PSU: NZXT C1000 (2024) 1000 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
I do did order a switch for the card just incase it is messed up so going to
Temps are all within ranges of idling and gaming. I seen elsewhere could be PSU would it be recommended to switch that out instead of GPU?

What BIOS version are you on for your motherboard?

You might want to try and use DDU to remove all GPU drivers(intel, AMD and Nvidia) in Safe Mode, then manually install the latest GPU driver sourced from Nvidia's support site, in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

^ do this with your RTYX4080 Super in the system and see if that helps. When the RX 7900 XTX comes in, do the same but run DDU before you swap cards.

How are you cooling the processor?

So my cooler for cpu is ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 360 A-RGB 48.82 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
My Bios is on M.70
I just took out the gpu reseated it and made sure the cables are all connected into the psu properly going to test this today.
And try the safe mode thing in the mean time

The case is Lian Li LANCOOL 216 RGB ATX Mid Tower Case the airflow feels great nothing but cool air ever. OHH it hit i was trying to see what you meant by the adapter do you mean the three piece connector to the psu?

Like the system runs amazing until it doesnt...
So far ive done:
Remounted GPU
DDU for the drivers
Replugged PSU cables for card

The issue seems to be good now as this morning was happening on start up after like 5 minutes
Will keep testing and see how it goes from here as i have a new card on the way figure if this keeps happening will test the new card or replace PSU is what i could be thinking next

yes your not suppose to bend those cables like that there also known to fail the adapters there poorly made and would make sense since your using a 4080.

your psu should have came with a 16 pin cable use that.

Just switched out the cables i see what you were talking about thank you! Will test to see if that was causing the issue.

no problem hopefully it works like i said installation is the same and had zero issues of restart on my end since using the 16 pin cable over the adapters.

Between yesterday and today have had no issues thanks so much im going to assume its fixed for now

great had a feeling it was that adapter ive examined many a failed adapter sometimes it takes a while for it to happen its more violent on 4090s due to higher load usually causes damage. on most 4080s with similar issues no damage but the connector just fails outright due to poor cables and soldering job that and theres no manual to tell people dont bend them.

these days the sound advise is to just use the cable that either comes with psu or manufacturers 16 pin to 2 8 pin adapters full cables as there made with better wire.
