hello, i have had a problem today where when i plugged my pc to the wall outlet the light in the case went on for a second (which is normal), but when i pressed the power button nothing happened. i checked the basics like removing the power cable from the wall and trying on a different plug, checked if the cable is good by replacing with another, checked if the PSU power button is on. every time i plugged in the cable to the outlet it would not turn the light on in the case after my very first try. what i did was i removed my existing PSU and replaced it with my old PSU and the PC turned on. i turned it back off and plugged the PSU that i began with and the PC turned on this time and i used it for like 3 hours with no issue. what could have caused this problem? This exact problem happened like a month back but eventually it turned on and i didn't have to change PSUs like i did today. my existing PSU is just 7 months old so i really doubt if that could go bad. My mobo however is very old. around 10 years i guess. Its a Asrock G41m-S3.recently the onboard sound card also went bad and all it produced was static sound when i plugged speakers to the onboard card. i wonder if rest of it has also gone bad.
