Pc specs : rtx 2060 6gb vram + amd ryzen 5 2600 + 16 gb ram gddr4 3000mhz , psu 650watt , i think those specs are the most important , is my pc future proof for 1080p and 1440p ultra or high graphics ? Edit : i am asking guys because i don't know which monitor i should buy ? 1080p or 1440p monitor + i prefer AAA games

Solution
I want to play on 1440p , because i saw many benchmarks for rtx 2060 on 1440p high and ultra and it was very good , but i think you r right because it would be tough for the next gen games at 1440p , but do you think that it will be good at 1080p ultra or high for the next two years or it would be tough too ?
not ultra, maybe high, getting you 65 fps, just look up YOUTUBE VIDEOS on games you play or similar ones using the same processor or a close one in performace. IF you cant find any on the gpu in mind, look at one slightly better or worse and use your imaginiation to adjust the fps +- 10

1)No.
2)Which resolution you want to play is up to you; no one should be telling you this. Now, I will say that 1080p is easier to build around; 1440p requires more graphic horsepower.
If you decide on which resolution you want, then someone can suggest a monitor recommendation from there.

Why rtx 2060 isn't future proof for 1440p ? I thought it's a good gpu , of course I won't use it for 5 or 6 years , i want it for 3 years and then i will replace it , is it not good for 1440p high for the next 2 years ? Or at least ultra 1080p 60fps

The problem if you want to call it as such with the RTX 2060 is the 6gb, that will certainly be swamped in the next 3 years by new titles as even now at 1440p it will struggle to do high/ultra settings in some games. It will be fine for 1080p even though you will be on medium/lower settings again in some titles.

I have a RTX 2080 8gb and even it will struggle to keep 60fps with Ultra settings at 1440p in Mordor Shadow of War for example, but that is a game that hits any GPU hard.

No PC is "future proof" as the Tech is evolving so quickly, anything over 18 months old is basically considered a dinosaur!!!

1)Because the term futureproof is a misconception; it's verbal snake oil thrown around here and there by people who don't really understand that it's a false concept.
It loses credibility against PCS:
-Progression of technology: new tech comes out every year, downplaying the previous gen by a little, or by a lot.
-Competition: progress stagnates without competition. If a company manages to create a monopoly, they will purposefully stagnate the market to maximize profits.
-Software: Takes time and costs money to optimize for the newer hardware, of which the latter far outpaces the former in development.

2)The 2060 is a good gpu. But nothing lasts forever...
It's fine for both 1080p and 1440p - but you will end up turning down settings over time.

If you want to play 1440p, you will need a rtx 2070 imo. I never play AAA games, but believe me, especially if you want to play on high settings. Futureproofing is tough to do, but if you want to futureproof, obviously buy the fastest and latest thing possible. 2070 is faster than the 2060.I am curious, why are you playing on 1440p AAA games, when you are considering 2060 and ryzen 5 2600. Go for the 1080p
