Approximate Purchase Date: Sometime this week
Budget Range: Around $1,400 after shipping
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, internet, schoolwork, music
Are you buying a monitor: Already have one
Parts to Upgrade: N/A
Do you need to buy OS: Yes
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.com
Location: Pittsburg, Texas U.S.
Parts Preferences: Leaning towards Intel/Nvidia, but I'll go with whatever works best
Overclocking: Maybe
SLI or Crossfire: Maybe
Your Monitor Resolution: Last I remember, the highest I've seen it go was around 1900x1200
Additional Comments: Planning on modding (increasing graphics capability of games, increasing amount of content within games, etc) so I'll need it to keep cool, but also powerful with in-game physics, and most importantly (in my opinion) lighting effects.
And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: This will be my first build. I've done plenty of research, so I'm not gonna fry the parts, but my goal is a high performance gaming computer.
Alright, here is what I have so far:
