Is the CX600M enough for a 1070 + i5-6500?

Hey so im making a new build because the one i have rn is pretty outdated, is the CX600M gonna be enough to handle a asus 1070 dual and a i5-6500? I saw in some post that the CX series PSU are terrible so im pretty scared to end up frying any component.. thanks for your answers

Yes the CX600 offers more than enough power for those parts. It is true that the CX600 is not a very reliable psu, but it is not bad enough that it would be likely to destroy your other parts.

So what's the bad thing about those PSU's? i really dont want my pc to die after a few months :/

There is a little chance it could die on you prematurely, however I'd say those odds are lower because your system consumption isn't anywhere near 600 watts. So your power supply is never really under full load anyway.

The bad thing about Corsair's CX series is their build quality and the components they use. Capacitors could decide the longevity of your power supply, and the CX series uses cheaper Chinese capacitors rather than quality Japanese ones.

Exactly! If you don't already own it, do not buy it. There are many better options in the same price range.

If you DO already own it, it's not the end of the world. It's just simply not going to last as long as a better one would have.
