Since I have an prebuilt pc (dell optiplex 9020 sff) and cant afford a new pc, can the gt 1030 be the best upgrade option I have? or there are better options? (my pc is currently with a 8400 gs)

Solution
It would fit with a generic unit.
However, if you can spend a bit more you can get a new PSU (Corsair CX450M Black Label $29.99 on Newegg) and a 1060 for about 250 total.
The 1050 LP is fine with what you have atm.
Info I saw says you have a 255W power supply in that. Considering that, and considering that you also need a low profile card, and it'd probably best be a single slot card, yeah of the new cards the 1030 fits your needs.

Of course I have no idea what CPU you have, what games you play, or what resolution you run, so I can't comment on whether the 1030 is 'worth it' or not. It IS an upgrade from an 8400 GS though.

My two main concerns are the size of the card and their power consumption. Do you think a low profile would fit? (also, I have a 255W PSU)
