Hello,

I have i7 4790s. and I just want to be sure, that's enough for 4k Ultra gaming?

Maybe will bottleneck, maybe will not. I don't know.

If it's OK, so I can buy GTX 1080 Ti ;)

Mobo: MSI H81M-P33
Ram: Kingston ddr3 16gb
HDD: 1tb Seagate 7200rpm
SSD: Adata 240 GB
PSU: Thermaltake LitePower 600w
Windows 10 Pro

4790s has base clock of but 3.2 GHz, 800 MHz less than that of the 4790K, so I'd expect a few less FPS of course, but, at least it is 8 threads, so perhaps it could hold 60 fps in most games. You might be able to find some comparisons to 4790/4790K, but, it is not a widely benchmarked CPU as the more prolific 4790K.

tbh the 1080ti itself was never an absolute 4k even when matched with the 8700k, despite the 4790 still being an amazing chip, sadly not a K though, it will get a bit less fps in the end... while most game will still run @ 60fps, cuz not every modern game is crazy intense after all, some will suffer a bit... be prepared to turn down a few settings, it wont run everything on ultramost ultra settings.

Maybe I can buy Ryzen 7 1700 + X370 Gaming Plus Mobo + GTX 1080 Ti.
My guess, its enough for 4k@60fps on Ultra settings.

But, maybe I don't need new chip cpu.
I don't know.
I have not tried yet, so I'm confused now..

The issue is that even the 1080Ti wouldn't run all games at 60fps on Ultra.

The 2080Ti can do that, the 1080Ti still sometimes has to turn down settings. It's not so much a matter of the CPU as it is of the GPU and the fact that you're using a 4K screen.

I want to play a lot of multi player, online and solo games on 4k resolution.
and maybe can do Twitch Stream..
Example;
-No Man's Sky
-Sea of Thieves
-Skyrim(with Heavy ENB mods)
-AC Odyssey
-AC Origins
-Battlefield 1
-CS:GO
-Conan Exiles
-Archeage Online
-Black Desert Online
-and more...

I'm planning to buy a 4k HDR Smart TV.
I hate the Gaming monitors, because they are expensive and they have small screens.
I don't care about the response times, freesync-gsync techs and input lags...

So, What you think?
