So I'm upgrading my brother's system, and want to get him an SSD to use as a boot drive. I found this one on Amazon (although I'm open to others if better deals are available) but I'm not sure it's compatible with his Motherboard. The motherboard's product information page is here. I've confirmed myself that the board as an M.2 slot, tucked away right under where his RX 480 is currently in place, but some other forum posts on LTT have made me weary. One poster states that the motherboard only has support for M.2 SATA drives, and another states that this in incorrect and the specification is only stating that a SATA port will simply be unavailable.
Do I have anything to worry about here? If I buy the SSD and it is incompatible I won't be completely dead in the water, I could always use the extra storage for my laptop, but I'd prefer not to if possible. All help is appreciated, thanks!
