[SOLVED] Is the R5 3600 compatible with msi b450 v2 bazooka

I have a Arsenal Gaming MSI b450 v2 bazooka, and im upgrading my cpu. And i was wondering if it is vompatible with a ryzen 5 3600, without me having to update the bios.

Yes, that is the correct motherboard. I sold my cpu so i dont have any way to check my bios, or is there a way i could do it without a cpu?

Your motherboard supports bios flashback, you can install bios without CPU.

all you need is power and a USB drive with the latest bios on it. I wouldn't install the beta

Cant seem to find a button 😕. Not finding anything in the manual either.

its possible the M doesn't have the button since its micro atx.

I know the 450 should have it. But no button on back and nothing in manual.

i don't think there is any way to tell without turning it on, what bios you have. The one you need was released July 11 2019 so when did you get board? and even purchase date doesn't really tell us if bios was up to date at that time.

there might be a sticker on the bios chip showing what was on it

I bought a H370 MoBo recently. I would like to know the BIOS version of the MoBo. Is there any way, that I could know the version without booting up this Motherboard?

is there a sticker on bios chip? that is about only chance you have, and assume the previous owner never updated.

you might need to take board to a shop and ask them to help you flash the bios. they might have a cpu you can put in to do it.
