[SOLVED] Is there a program to check if any programs are capping my internet speeds?

I currently have gigabit internet and am capping at 130Mbps download speed, i have all the current hardware so i don't understand why i am not getting higher speeds, i even lag while playing online games. Meanwhile my sister has a newly built computer which easily gets 900+Mbps, I'm not sure why i cant get higher speeds, please help

Start by checking your Ethernet adapter - what connection speed does it show? And I truly believe you're not talking about WiFi connections.

As for programs eating your bandwidth - Resource Monitor app is just for that.

it shows gigabit, and yes i have Ethernet cat7 cable connected

There is no "program" / "application" which capes your download speed unless you (or someone else) installed it explicitly. There are other reasons for your games to stutter with 130mbps service.

None that I know of. There ARE known programs that do limit benchmark download speeds. The Killer network adapter software suite and the ROG Game First software both can limit benchmarked download speeds.
