Hi, i have a gigabyte x58a ud3r mobo...
I opened up my case and took off the cpu cooler, then i took off my i7 930
I looked at the socket and noticed some pins that looked bent, so i took a high res photo of the socket and am asking you guys if the pins (indicated by the red arrow pointing to them) Are these really bent pins?

Any help is appreciated, Thanks

From the picture you posted, it looks normal. However, the shot could be better. Did you do this on a camera phone?

It would be helpful if you could produce a higher-resolution image. It's just too difficult to tell hat's going on from this picture, in my opinion.

Here is a picture of the socket overall in 10megapixel unbiased form, here is where it stands out alot, i compared it to other mobos of the EXACT SAME kind and none have this pin indicator the questionable site is at the middle top section of the lower side of the socket

Got it -- thanks, with this large overview, I can't really see the pin itself. However, something definitely stands out in that area of the LGA. If you could take the picture again, but with it zoomed in on the LGA rather than an overview of the whole region, it would be helpful in diagnosing.

Any chance someone dropped a screw driver bit in there or something? Only way I've heard of to bend a pin significantly.
