Major usage is gaming? What monitor do you have? Plan to do 2k gaming or 4k? What FPS? 1600 is better bang for the money and save you a cooler.

For strictly gaming, an Intel setup should outperform, due to the higher IPC, but Ryzen is a great option.

Ryzen does offer a solid "value" offering though - for the money, it's tough to beat.....but the 1600X is a tough sell.
The 1600 can OC to the same range, for a good $30 less while including a stock cooler.

The H60 is a fairly "basic" AIO, and I'd suggest either Air cooling, or a larger 240 AIO - for Ryzen, the stock cooler would be sufficient, as they're topping out ~4GHz, regardless of voltage.

The RX580 is a tough one to justify too, at the price. While prices are normalizing, a 6GB 1060 is ~$265, and even a 1070 is doable within the budget.

On the B350 chipset, the ATX boards don't make a lot of sense. Sure, a little extra expandability, but no SLI, CFx etc.

While the Intel offering is over budget, it will outperform the Ryzen offering...... but both are powerhouse gaming rigs.

The 8600K is doing 5GHz for most people with decent cooling - and 5.3GHz+ has been reported while delidded (but YMMW, of course).


Both builds are mainly focussed on "best" gaming performance for the money (IMO), but your resolution will play a factor.
If you're playing @ 1080p/60Hz, then a 1070 is going to be overkill.
1440p would be the "sweet spot" for a 1070, and even lower settings @ 4K...... but if you want to do 4K, the budget likely isn't quite there yet - at least not without making some decent sacrifices.

Well, im gonna game on 1080p @60Hz, but I may manage to get a 144hz monitor later on 2018. I want a pc that will run games like CSGO, Overwatch and Rainbow Six Siege at 100+ fps. I also wanna keep the ATX thing going on it fits on the NZXT Case ive chosen (I REALLY want my pc to be red themed) . Ive changed the 1600X for the 1600, changed the RX580 for a GTX 1060 and ive upgraded the water cooling. (If you can find an air cooler that will let me overclock the CPU at its max while keeping cool and quiet ill be really happy)

I'd be really surprised if the stock AMD cooler is audible with case fans running etc - and will allow you to hit the max (realistic) OC's on Ryzen.

Just as an FYI, mATX boards will also fit in that case.... and there are alternatives supporting the red/black theme from both a motherboard & case standpoint.
BUT, if those are the components you've chosen, go for it - they're not going to impact performance either way.

So ok, ive got an idea, I can remove water cooling and use R5 1600 Stock Cooling, and change the motherboard for the B350M (which is also red themed) you mentioned earlier and upgrade from a 1060 to a 1070. Though im worried that it might have a negative impact in the build.

I am saying it looks like the chip has certain overclocking limit. Many find it hard to overcome 3.8 G barrier. 4G is like winning silicon lottery already. Water cooling does provide better cooling, but if the chip is not able to reach >3.8 due to non-thermal reason, water cooling is not worth the extra money. ~3.8 is already good enough, little diff past 3.8 anyway. You can look through 50+ Ryzen 1600 builds on the forum, haven't seen one yet not using the decent stock cooler. Maybe my sample size is limited, stock cooler is definitely best bang for the money due to 0 cost and pretty good performance.
