I would like to know if these specs can be good for a gaming pc. I am really new at this and i want to build a good gaming pc that is preferably better than the ps4 specs and will last me a few years without upgrading anything. Also, the link is here:

I am grateful for any additional info you guys could provide, for ex, how much will a pc cost minimally that will beat the ps4 or xbox720 specs and last about 1-3 years more with any new games on at least medium-high settings.

Solution
Hey, you could always start. 2 months ago, I didn't know a thing about computers. Now I'm a forum regular here. Buying my own build in 3 weeks, so I had to tweak to perfectness. Anyway, here's the final build, nothing changed.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($189.99 @ Microcenter)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($134.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: Patriot Gamer 2 Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($47.98 @ NCIX US)
Storage: Samsung...

Haha, no offence taken lol. And the Fractal R4 is a good case, but you can get the non-windowed one for cheaper. Also you can get SamGriffin's Zalman Z11 Plus case, which is a good case. But some people don't like the design. I'm also getting the Z11 plus for my build.

I filtered some in pcpartpicker and got what i think were good ones. I am looking now at the cooler master cm690 II in black. Is that a good case, better than the fractal and the z11? I think i want that one.

Cases are personal preference. As long as it fits everything you need, it doesn't matter. Just get one that you like. At the end of the day, you're the one who has to work with it and look at it. If you liked the Fractal R4 as is, I'd go for it. It's a great case.

^^

Just make sure you get one that has at least 3 fans, also go on YouTube and look at some reviews of the case, but at the end of the day as long as it has fans and you like it go for it. Be warned the HAF 932 is a good case but it's big, 253 x 502 x 563 mm / 10.0 x 19.7 x 22.2 inches, the Rosewell CHALLENGER-U3 is a good case as well.

I do know that the en choice will be what i choose but i just want some good and reliable opinions. I can bet you guys have cases that you know are good. I would like some opinion on whether i should buy the one i look at or not. I want to know that i am not being hasty when i buy a case that is just not worth my money. Also, i have a question, i the 7970 3gb the best graphics card there is, and if not, which one is? Thanks for your help guys.

The best Graphics card there is, well there are 3, nVidia Titan, nVidia GTX 690 and the AMD HD 7990, But the are all over $500. The 7950 or 7970 is the best bet for your price range. With the case, try to get one with good cable routing and one you like the look of. But if you want one picked for you, the NZXT Tempest 410 Elite is a very good, clean and cool running case.

Oh yeah. I checked a review over the weekend and saw that the i5 had a very bad case of cooling so i will need a case that cools like crazy as my computer will most likely be on for more than 6 hours continuously. Any suggestions on that? I would prefer the case non-windowed and good looking. Again, any suggestion?

Do not compare PCs to consoles, the people who are doing so are completely foolish and don't know what they are talking about. Console graphics will never catch up to their PC equivalents, ever. It's really a step above laptop hardware without the power requirements. The people that want the best will pay for the best. If there's a market for a $1K video card, people will buy it. The upcoming consoles have some impressive specs but really what's going in the PS4 is just a glorified version of the AMD A10-5800K. Comparing that to an i5-3570K with a dual GTX 670 setup would be like comparing a Toyota Yaris to a Jaguar XJK.

If you don't want a window you could get the NZXT Tempest 410, any major brand case will cool well, look at the reviews, the will say if it has bad cooling, also if you're not already get a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, that will fix any i5 cooling problems.

I have chosen the case as the fractal r4 and i think it is high time for me to stop worrying about that. Anyways, will all the games that will be released for the consoles in the next few years work on this build as the specs of this pc are better than the specs for the ps4. I know they are two whole different categories but since the parts of the ps4 come from the pc, how will mine compare had it been made solely for gaming? I think that it is a questionable question as the games that are made on the next gen systems are rumoured to be ported from pcs, and if the ps4 can handle it, my pc should be able to too, right? Right? I am jumping from console gaming to pc and it seems confusing to me. Thanks

You PC will wreck the next gen consoles, even a moderately good PC will, they're that going to be that amazing.
