Is this a safe OC'd core voltage?

I just overclocked my i7 2600k to 4ghz, and am wondering if this voltage is okay. I am not doing anything that requires extensive use of the CPU at the moment. To me, it seems a bit high. Is this normal? I'm using the fan that came with the 2600k, and have a few around my case. I have an MSI p67 motherboard and 650 watt power supply, and 1 120GB SSD and 1 320GB hard drive.

You should be able to get to 4GHz on stock voltage or a tad higher. That is not dangerous but definitely unnecessary for 4GHz.

I'd say you could get at least 4.5GHz stable with 1.320V.

All of those estimates depend on getting a chip with a low to average VID. Without knowing what SDM's VID is, you really cannot make an informed estimate.
