hmmm they do say its ultra...
though it seems gainward ware up to their usual tricks in the fine print further down:

Gainward offers the end user the choice to either run the board in ¡§Safe Mode Setting¡¨ or
at ¡§Enhanced Setting¡¨ (¡§Golden Sample?¡¨

So that could mean nonultra at "safe" and ultra at "enhanced"
damn confusing.
Anyone else?

Yeah, I was confused too.

If it really is an ultra, it's a pretty good deal.

Well as they say if it looks too good to be true it probably is.

Most likely to be a non ultra that has the ability to overclock well.
So compare it to other non ultra's. Is it still a good price? If so then its probably a decent deal.

Be VERY careful! Gainward are renowned for misleading model names. Only Golden Sample stuff is the really high end and even then you have to be careful + they are excessivley over-priced. Go with another brand.

example: I have a Gainward "Golden Sample" GF3 Ti200 in my 2nd machine and they packaging leads you to believe its a Ti500

They may have confusing names but they are not overpriced. When I bought my gainward GF4 ti4200 it cost me around £110 in the UK when exactly the same card from Asus, MSI, and the rest cost around £130. This was also the Golden Sample Version, which allowed me to overclock from 250/513 to 316/609 with no extra cooling.

If I were you, I won't be buying any Gainward product cos they're using their fancy dodgy names scheme and can be misleading. I won't waste a single breath, trying to work out which product they are selling to you!
