Is this rig ok?

Hi, this will be my first pc and I wanted to see if what ive put together is good. My budget is £650:
CPU:AMD FX 8350
GPU:Asus AMD Radeon R9 280
MOBO: Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0
RAM: 8Gb of kingston hyper x.
And a few other stuff like windows 8, a 2tb hdd. Help is appreciated.

we aint sure where you buying from so yeah in US prices you could get WAAAAAAAAAAY better elite over the rainbow gaming rig.. though you've got pretty balanced solid build,except for OS, go for W7,

No, do not get W7. 8.1 is better in every way and they are cutting most support for 7 very soon when 10 releases. It would be very foolish to buy 7 as it offers absolutely nothing over 8.1.

What PSU will you be going with?

Also, is an i5 an option? Like a 4460 and an H97 board.

when 10 comes out we will recommend 10, currently W7 is the way to go, W8.1 is more sort of.. notebook OS, not a PC Master Race OS.Only thing 8.1 offers over 7 is longer support.

Nope, I totally disagree. Most MODS here use 8.1 and we all recommend it. It is better than 7 everywhere.

It is faster, lighter, improves game performance ion most games, has WAY better support.

The only people left still pushing 7 are those too stubborn to try 8.1 and change. You do not have to use ANY of the notebook-like features. I bypass them all simply.

OP, DO NOT get W7. That would be completely pointless. 8.1 is plain and simple the better OS.

Sorry, this is all from amazon uk, and im using a Corsair CP-9020075-UK Builder Series 450W CS450M ATX/EPS Semi-Modular 80

PSU won't cut it. Not only is it too low wattage but it is low quality as well.

Get a 550-650w unit from Antec, XFX, Seasonic.

Right for what im about to say im sorry. Ive just looked back on amazon and realised I went over my budget(oops). Updated specs are a AMD FX6350, EVGA Nvidia gtx 750ti ftw, a Asus M5A97 R2.0 mobo, and pretty much the same everything else. Is this ok for my budget and what psu for this build?

Get an i3 build instead. It will game better and have a WAY better upgrade path.

Get an i3 and the cheapest H97 board you can.
