Like everyone else, I'm planing on building a new rig when the Intel price drop happens. Right now this is what I'm planning on getting:

Intel Q6600
eVGA 680i 122-CK-NF68-A1
eVGA 8800 GTX 768-P2-N831-AR
PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad (Black)

The memory that I've been looking at and kind of have my mind set on is Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) BL2KIT12864AA804. I heard really good things about this memory, has good timings, uses D9 chips, and Crucial is a pretty reliable company. So what do you guys think, is this the best memory for me? I will mostly use my system for gaming, and I may overclock in the future to bring it up to 3.0 GHz. If you have other suggestions, please explain yourself and why you think your suggestion is better. Oh and yes I did look at the compatibility chart for the 680i motherboard and yes this memory is compatible. Thanks for the advice in advance.

This is the RAM i'll be buying as well, also read good things about it. Consider this a +1 for the Crucial Ballistix.

The RAM will not really matter that much.

You only need DDR2-667 speeds to reach 3.0 Ghz on that chip.
Just make sure you have decent timings and you are set.

Really good DDR2-800 is really only needed if OCing something like the 6300 Chip which starts are really low speeds.

(The E4300 does not since it has such a high multi-plier.)

All that being said, those are good chips, just be sure to not over pay for them when ordering.
