Question Is USB 3.2. Gen 1 header compatible with USB 3 on Case?

Hey there, does anyone know if USB 3.1 gen 2 type A is compatible with USB 3.0? I have the Asus Tuf Gaming X570-plus wifi, and my case(Cooler Master MB530P) has a USB 3 front panel. Can I plug the USB 3 into the 3.2 header, or do I have to get a splitter?
