Hi guys, I need to know how to make sure 2 different subnets can't communicate with each other but still have internet access through the same Netgear FVS338 VPN Router. I tried subnetting with 255.255.255.128 and also using 2 complete different IP ranges but they still can ping each other through the router. How can I completely stop one network ( play room ) to interfere with the other one ( office )? Thanks for your support :D

Having no experience with that router, it sounds like you need to set up some sort of access lists or firewall rules to prevent traffic from subnet A going to subnet B and vice versa. Or you could call Netgear and ask them if you have support.

The FVS 338 router does support what you need. Under the lan setup select multi-home network. to add another subnet.

Then use Lan groups to assing users to the new subnet.

Hope this helps you.

Make sure you update to the new V2 firmware, all other version are JUNK. and are not functionable.
