Hello all!
Currently in the works of building my own gaming pc, i have basically put everything inside the case which is an aeroCool Predator evil green edition and have successfully gained power (Yay!) Unfortunately, the case fans do not connect directly to the motherboard ( MSI Z97 Gaming 3) as the case fan is a 3-pin connector and the motherboard connection being 4pin. Just wondering whether there is anyway around this? Or do i have to buy some sort of connector

Solution
ok I just read the manual and I understand the issue.
the case has a fan controller, the fan controller gets powered from 1 molex connector directly from the power supply. the fans then plug into the headerscoming from the controller on the front panel. that's it
nothing goes into the motherboard except the CPU fan.

the case should have 2 molex connectors, 1 for fan connector and another for the drive dock

Solution
Those are extension cables that are connected to the case fan controller.
The case fans will plug into the sockets on the ends of those wires.
Fan1 will take a 4pin fan and 2-5 will take 3 pin fans.

Check your case manual, some controllers are manual, some have a wire that connects to the motherboard fan header so it can be controlled by the motherboard.
All have a power connector that is either molex (large 4 pin) or SATA to provide power for the fans.
