Question Issues with RTX 2070 crashing games (Witcher 3, Doom,Jackbox)

Hi all,

This all started on Saturday night with Jackbox party pack 6. The game loads to the main menu, but as soon as you hover on a game with the mouse, or use the arrow keys, the game crashes to desktop. Jack packs 1-5 are fine (thankfully)

Then I decided to play Witcher 3 - I last played this 2 weeks ago (4/5/2020), no issues at all.

Now whenever I load a save or start a new game the game crashes when the game environment (not pre-recorded cinematics) loads (me in the wild for old save, new save crashes when the intro/ bathtub scene starts)

I updated my graphic driver to the latest version but no dice. Happens with both v442.50 and latest (April)

Win 10 x64 (home)
16gb ram
RTX 2070
i7 9700K
850W PSU

I then uncapped the FPS via the main menu, no help.
I scaled the resolution down from 1080p to 720p, now the game freezes when the main menu loads.

I tested out Doom (2016) that also ran fine 2 weeks ago, now it has bright spotty lights and artifacts/black tears across parts of the scene (then crashes).

What gives?!

- Stuck in isolation now with no games to play

Thanks, I will give that a shot. Will need to google as I havent the foggiest how thats done.
