Japan Isn't Getting the Xbox One Until 2014

On raw hardware specs alone the Xbone is a hard sell over the PS4. Factor in the price and its even a tougher sell.

XBone will need some really good games and marketing to get better sales than PS4.

I cannot speak for all here in Japan, but I can tell you that I could not care less if I had to wait to 2024 because I ain't getting it. You can stick you gold crap up your @ss!

Xbox can't sell well in Japan because of Sony and Nintendo.

And honestly MS has already lost its reputation of being good developers and so on...

This will highly boost the Sony and Nintendo console sales.

MS is dead? Are you a moron? You know, Xbox's aren't the only thing they sell. They sell computers, tablets, operating systems, many different types of software, all of which are constantly bought all day every day. And you just said MS is dead. Jesus Christ your post reeks stupidity.

While the "MS is dead" is a bit much, all the examples you've sited are also not doing well.

MS tablets are doing poor, Windows 8 has been a flop and as far as the "many different types of software", MS is killing Technet because so many were getting software from there vise buying retail.

It's not like they're going to sell over there anyways. Japanese are ultra-nationalistic.

South Africa is part of wave 4 or the fourth tier, which is apparently in te same tier as India which has been confirmed to have a very late 2014 launch. Wave 1 is 21 launch countries and the rest follow on from there, although Microsoft won't detail how many waves there are or who exactly is in them. Our local TV and satellite providers haven't even been approached about partnering with Microsoft for the XO channel guide thingamabob, let alone certify Xbox Video to work here (thanks, ICASA, for being a big fat slob).

We're in Tier 4? Damn. I knew it was late 2014, but i thought we were in the third tier...doesn't really make a difference i suppose.
