This is old news, actually. Romero's been working on it since the project
started and that was several months ago (to public knowledge anyway).
Since his ousting from Ion Storm, he's been busy making games for mobile
platforms -- I forget the name of the company, but I assume it either went
under (again) or he's left it to pursue this Gauntlet game. He never really
stopped working at all.
Icewind Dale was a horrible RPG because it felt just like a Gauntlet game
(hordes of nameless enemies, endless dungeon crawls, no compelling
storyline). But I suppose that's a good thing since Sawyer is now working on
an actual Gauntlet title.
