I'm buying from Australia unfortunately, so there's little hope for non-inflated prices..GTX 680s 4Gb models go for as much as $829 here.

There's currently only two available, Gigabyte's windforce version for $519 and Inno3D's one for $479 --670 that is.

Chances are I'll probably wait for a bit and see if Heatkiller makes a GPU block + backplate for this card..If they do, I'll buy the card. If not, I may just go for a 680..Yeah, being a perfectionist sucks, but what can you do? 🙁

Well, the GTX670 (if we see them in higher quantities) will definitely steal the GTX680 light. At a $100USD less performing within inches away? Nuts. They're definitely a good buy. They'd be great and unbeatable if they were $320USD or so 😛

Cheers!

Wait the GTX 660 Ti...

Hey guys, need input quick!

I have a GTX 680 MSI Twin Frozr

Should I return it to get a EVGA Superclock GTX 670 and get $150 back?

Can get hands on the new card but need to make the decision right away

GTX 670's in SLi..... seemingly WICKED.
what's your monitor situation.?

Ah just a 24" but plan on doing an upgrade in the near future, probably the same time if I plan on SLI'n but haven't decided what path to go. Surround, 3D, larger high res. But it's going to go up.

Honestly I'm feeling for my dilemma that even though the MSI Frozr has the OC potential def there. That card runs so quiet and cool, thinking that the gap between the two is so small anyways that might as well grab the 670 and think of tossing the money towards SLI or monitor in the near future.

Or maybe towards a case / PSU to finish off my old system for the kids.

Hey gang. Been mostly mia due to the weather getting nice, vacation, etc. Still pretty disappointed where we're at today with pricing/availability for new cards. Performance wise it's right where we'd like. Still think this whole situation is bad for consumers with price levels shooting upward at pretty astonishing rates (as the 670 review mentioned we've gone from a $550-$650 5970 to $700-$800 6990/590 to $1k+ 690). I will most likely stick with my 560 ti's for some time until supply issues are resolved and the insanity of 1k+ flagship cards corrects itself. I can live with the lower FPS in the handful of very-demanding titles that we see each year.

Until we see more attractive pricing I'd rather put the (large sums of) money into a sports car than a wildly expensive gpu setup (that imo should be substantially less wildly expensive).
