Kernel Data Inpage Error

Help! Computer not running smoothly, hasn't been for weeks. Keep getting bsod kernel data Inpage error. PC takes about 5-10 minutes to boot despite having 16GB of RAM and an i5 processor, and freezes temporarily during this time where a program will stop responding and screen goes black/green. Recently its deteriorated Badly and constantly freezes and takes a long time to open anything. Is this my HDD's fault? (Seagate 2TB) EDIT: have tried doing chkdsk many times this hasn't helped.

UPDATE: Screen now flashing from green to background, green to background and so on rapidly. What's going on???

There are several possible causes. From your description it sounds very much like the drive is failing. However, a bad SATA cable can also cause the same symptoms. Cables are cheap, try replacing the SATA cable before digging any deeper.

Still not working once I replaced sata cable...
