Question Knocked psu cable out. Now monitor wont pick up signal.

Hi i need some help.

While the pc was on i have knocked the psu cable out.

Plugging it back in, pc fans spin (mb, psu, case), keyboard lights come on, gpu fan doesn't spin but lights are on but my monitor gets no signal.

I tried plugging it into the tv with a hdmi cable and still nothing on the screen.

I cant try removing the gpu as my cpu is a R5 2600 which i heard needs a gpu.

What is it possible that i have messed up by removing the psu cable while the pc is on?

Try turning off psu, unplug from wall socket, hold down the power button on pc for at least 20 seconds. Then plug back in, turn on psu and try to restart pc.

Hi thanks for your reply, i tried this and everything is still the same.

Ok try removing the motherboard battery for about a minute with the pc unplugged. Then replace battery, plug in and see if it fires up.

just tried this and still nothing from the monitor and gpu fans still not moving

Have you tried removing gpu and reseating it?

Yeah i had to to get into the battery

Do you have a second pci-e slot to try with gpu?

You will have to find out if it is your psu that went bad, or motherboard, or gpu. Can you try the gpu in another or friends pc?

I will try get a hold of one of a friend and see what i can find, thanks for your help
