Koyote Soft FLV Video problem

Hello, I use XP & ver. 7 of the Koyote FLV converter. When I type a name in the search box and a video shows up, I place the check mark first. Then I click the play button. Now, I get a odd icon in the upper top left of the video window only--No video. Can this be corrected? Worked before HD crash.

I reinstalled Adobe Flash Player hoping this would fix the problem. It didn't. Is there something else that is free I coul get to fix this?
