I just purchased a second hand XP 2100+ CPU running at 2000Mhz. I heard that
there is a modified A9 bios somewhere that shows the right CPU type in the
boot screen. I have currenty 7N bios which reports Unknown CPU at 2000Mhz.
Is it worth flashing the modified A9 bios and can someone point a REALLY
WORKING flash file?

I don't have a floppy drive in my system anymore so is safe to flash by
bootable CD? Is there a bootable CD image somewhere I could use?

Timo

Je zou op
http://www.biosmods.com/
naar het bestand drebel.zip kunnen zoeken.

Flashen doe je gewoon via je hd met een speciale utility die je op de abit
site kan vinden.

I wouldn't worry about it, it's just cosmetic. And besides, the 2100+
running at 2000Hz isn't a 2100+ any longer. The model numbers are derived
fromt the cpu speed by the bios. The one below shows Unknown CPU @ 2400MHz
and it's a 2100+ too. I've moved it to a new board and run it at 13x166
and it's reported as a 2700+ by the bios.
