I recently got a good deal on a compute from www.micropro.com. I got an t-bird 800mhz and a Asus A7V motherboard with it. My question is what happens if the makes of my system didnt unbridge the the L1 pins?? Also, I can see how you build your own PC but arent there more setting that Tom left out like setting jumpers? Im no computer expert, but im looking to upgrade my processor maybe to a ghz t-bird but what settings would I have to change? thanks.

Didn't you get the A7V manual? It explains the jumpers there...if the bridges are already closed then you should be able to just change the jumpers to 100FSB, 10x multiplier, and disable Jumperfree setting. From memory I can tell you that the JEN jumper must be changed, the dip switch with four switches must be set all 4 ON, and the one with six, you'll have to visit the asus website to find out, if you dont have the manual. Also get promise build 33, bios 1005c, and Via 4 in 1 4.28...then everything should be peachy!
