Laggy computer after a few minutes of use

I do not understand why my computer gets very laggy after only about 5 minutes of use, it is a brand new computer and should be working.

Specs:
i7-6700k @ 4ghz
GTX1070
16GB Ram
Asus Maximus VIII Hero
500GB SSD
1TB HDD

What is your cpu utilization from task manager/processes? (Clicking on CPU twice will sort it from highest to lowest, top to bottom) Any particular process appear to be spiking it? (Many folks get hit with malware that starts bitcoin mining, etc., after a few minutes of inactivity with mouse....; keep your task manager open sorted by processes to to test)

YOu might run a 'just to be sure' pass with Malwarebytes Antimalware just to see if anything is detected, I've never had MBAM botch a system yet)
