Monday night my desktop worked fine, Tuesday morning, no internet connection was possible.
It is a six year old “self-built” desktop with a ASRock B85M motherboard.
https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/B85M/index.asp

Two bootable SSDs, one Win7, one Ubuntu, both no longer connect. There no wifi in the house, but none on that computer, only cable Lan. When that cable is plugged into this laptop, it works fine…
The device manager still shows two adapters for my VPN (which are now also unable to connect to the net), but the third one for Windows has completely disappeared, I uninstalled and reinstalled the Qualcom Driver, no difference.
I tried to set the BIOS settings to default, but could not find anything in the BIOS setup of the B85M… (?)

From what I found at Google (duckduck) it may be the Net Card NIT, which I also cannot find on B85M.

I would appreciate your help with this, thank you.
